How did our story start?

Brač is one of the most beautiful islands in Croatia. It is known for its stone carvings and has been inhabited by people who have lived in agriculture and fishing since ancient times. Brač is an island of stone; every stone has its own history.

My ancestors, known for their hard work in agriculture, produced olives, cherries, and grapes. My family decided to continue the tradition with the same enthusiasm.

We renovated the entire property by hand, rebuilding the old ruined houses from the ground up, tidying up the land, and planting olive and fruit trees. Something was still missing, so we brought some friendly animals, sheep, goats, and chickens, to make our place more

lively and inviting!

Things begin to fall into place. Paradise in untouched nature, away from modern life and external influences. A self-sustaining property where water is collected from rain and electricity is generated by the sun and solar panels. You eat what you plant and grow, preparing it in the best way possible with oak wood and fire. Fresh, clean air surrounded by positive natural energy—who needs anything more?

House Details

One country house has two bedrooms, and the other has one bedroom. Each provides a living and dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a daylight bathroom.

The living rooms have a rustic wooden dining table, as well as a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall with satellite channels.

 

Big, open fireplace stoves enhance the homely atmosphere and provide cozy warmth on cooler evenings. The first house is air-conditioned.​ The modern built-in kitchens are equipped with a stove, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, and plenty of crockery. 

 

​The larger of the houses has a double bed (170 x 200cm) in one of the bedrooms and a bunk bed (90 x 200cm) in the other.​ The bedroom in the second natural stone house has another double bed. Plenty of bed linen and towels are provided, and the reliable wireless Internet connection in the two villas can be used free of charge.

​You will need a car, and there are secure parking spaces in front of the houses. The holiday home is easily accessible by car, although part of the route is on a gravel path. Natural stone houses are 1 km from the nearest beach with crystal-clear water. The center of the little harbor town of Sumartin, with its range of shops, colorful markets, and good gastronomy, is about 3 km away.

 

Despite its romantic and secluded setting, you won't feel completely isolated. The owner lives nearby and can be reached by phone to help with any questions.
